Each week I will be posting my predictions for every Big Ten game as well as a few of the bigger out of conference clashes. As always these will be accompanied by related (not really) YouTube videos.
My Record: Overall 12-2, Big Ten 10-1
Illinois v. Southern Illinois
The game is pretty much going to be like this fake GI Joe PSA, weird and completely unrelated to what the actual season is going to be like for the Illini.
Winner: Illinois
Iowa v. Iowa State
Iowa State hasn't scored a touchdown on Iowa since 2006. They havn't beaten a ranked team on the road since 1990. At least the Cyclone fans who travel to Iowa City will be able to do something other than lock lips with farm animals.
Winner: Iowa
Michigan at Notre Dame
This video gives me chills. Michigan is young and you gotta believe that after yet another transfer this week that Michigan secondary is going to get worked over by the Brian Kelly offense..
Winner: Notre Dame
Michigan State at Florida Atlantic
Just like the Toy Story Video being put with the Inception audio, Florida Atlantic playing a home game against Sparty really just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Kinda funny though.
Winner: Michigan State
Minnesota v. South Dakota
Sometimes you just shouldn't get too overexcited about things, like getting an N64 for christmas when it will be obsolete in a few years anyway, or the Gophers starting 2-0 despite all the signs pointing to them collapsing dramatically after this week.
Winner: Minnesota
Ohio State v. Miami
This should be the best matchup of the day and while I think Miami will be better than I originally pegged them this season I still don't see them being strong enough to overcome the discipline and strength of the Buckeyes
Winner: Ohio State
Penn State at Alabama
Another huge matchup for the Big Ten. I know this is an extremely gutsy pick but I think that this could end up being a coming out party for Robert Bolden and Penn State. The Tide doesn't have the depth on defense that it did last year and I think they are going to be shellshocked early by the speed of the Penn State offense.
Winner: Penn State
Purdue v. Western Illinois
Robert Marve got banged up against Notre Dame but after this week he and the Boilermaker faithful should be feeling good about this year.
Winner: Purdue
Wisconsin v. San Jose State
How can the Badgers lose? They are playing in one of the top ten brainiest cities in the US.
Winner: Wisconsin
Other Games
Oklahoma vs. Florida State
Flordia vs. South FloridaSouth Carolina v. Georgia
