Picks Week Nine

Each week I will be posting my predictions for every Big Ten game game as well asa few of the out of conference. As always these will be accompanied by related (not really) YouTube videos.

Going with the Halloween theme this week, more or less anyway.


Illinois v Purdue

You have to go way back in time to find an Illinois team that was this fundamentally solid on defense.

Indiana v Northwestern
Sometimes weird things happen in certain buildings.  For Northwestern, those weird things happen to include struggling with Indiana in Memorial Stadium.

Minnesota v Ohio State

Tim Brewster getting fired was like finding out the monsters in the village were actually old people dressed up as manbearpig.  There is no longer a reason to watch.

Michigan v Penn State

This video is a bit like the Joe Paterno, classic.  unfortunatly, that doesn't win you a lot of football games.

Iowa v Michigan State

No it isn't Halloween related, but how can I pass up the chance to make fun of Michigan State's insistence in playing homoerotic video clips during their sporting events?

USC v Oregon

The notion that people are actually picking USC in this game isn't scary, it's just funny.

Nebraska v Missouri

Question, can we rename the conference reallignment the Texas Chainsaw massacre?  I mean, technically the Cornhuskers leaving was mostly the Longhorns fault anyway.  Oh and they will beat Missouri.

Florida v Georgia

Neither of these teams is truly "scary", but the Gators have a much better shot at scaring some of the top teams in the SEC than the Bulldogs.
