Week Six Predictions

Each week I will be posting my predictions for every Big Ten game game as well as a few of the out of conference. As always these will be accompanied by related (not really) YouTube videos.

Record this season: 41-11 Big Ten, 52-11 Overall

 Indiana v. Illinois

This season for both schools has been like this muppets sketch, cleverly strange.  The question is will these teams start passing the eye test.  Well I guess we are talking about Indiana and Illinois, so I suppose the question is, who cares?
Pick: Illinois

Minnesota v. Purdue

Yes Neil Armstrong, Purdue grad, was not particularly clever when he landed on the moon.  Fortunately Purdue won't need to rely on much cleverness against a moribund Minnesota squad this weekend.
Pick: Purdue

Iowa v. Penn State

The Nittany Lions may think we are a weak team ripe for destruction, but I fully expect James Vandenberg to sendaclear message to the folks in Happy Valley this weekend.
Pick: Iowa

Ohio State v. Nebraska

This is seriously the best thing to come out of Ohio all season.  I applaud the Bobcats but this won't help the Buckeyes and their inept offense against a pissed off Nebraska defense.
Pick: Nebraska

Michigan v. Northwestern
Hard to think Michigan will be intimidated by Ryan Field.  I predict the Northwestern defense spends the entire day chasing Denard Robinson with little success and the Wolverines win this one going away.
Pick: Michigan

Other Games:
South Carolina v. Arkansas

The Gamecocks would have been my choice if they weren't facing a self inflicted QB controversy.  As it stands right now, I am calling the Hogs in this one.
Pick: Arkansas

Texas v. Oklahoma

Boomer Sooner all the way this week.  The Crimson and Cream just has too much fire power and I think they will dominate a Texas offense which is still trying to develop players at the QB situation.  These are both good football teams, but only one of them is a national title contender.
Pick: Oklahoma
